Each list is ordered by live player count, read from Steam's public server list and refreshed every five minutes. No votes or payments move a server up. If a placement is ever sold, it will be marked sponsored and kept apart from the ranking.
This page shows the current count next to each list, so read it as a live figure rather than a fixed one. Lists are split by play style, group size, gather rate and region. New lists are added as more servers publish settings that fit them.
Check your team size first, then your region, then your gather rate. A trio server on your own region at the start of its wipe usually runs better than a no-limit server that has been up for a week. Open the server page and compare fps, uptime and entities before you commit.
Yes. A server that is 2x, EU and duo-limited shows on all three lists. Each list is built from live data, so a server appears wherever its name, tags or published settings match. That is why the same address can sit near the top of several lists at once.
