Questions

4 items · open each to read
  1. 1.What is Rust Metrics?

Rust Metrics is a live tracker of every public Rust server, built from Steam's public server list and direct queries to the servers themselves. It reports fps, uptime, entity count and population against slots, plus wipes and wipe schedules. Readings refresh every five minutes.

  2. 2.How fresh are the fps, uptime and population readings?

Every reading is refreshed every five minutes. Population and slot counts come from Steam's server list; fps and entity count come from querying the server directly. A reading is never more than five minutes old, and a server that stops answering is marked offline rather than left on its last figure.

  3. 3.How do I check one server before joining?

Open the live server status list and find the server by name or address. Check population against slots first, then fps and uptime. If entities are high and fps is degraded, expect a rough first hour.

  4. 4.Is Rust Metrics run by Facepunch or a server network?

No. Rust Metrics is independent of Facepunch, any server network and any hosting company. It uses only public data: Steam's server list and direct queries to public servers. Nothing on the site is a sponsored rank.
