Terms of use
Read this before you rely on a reading. It sets out what the site does and what it does not promise.
Pre-flight: what the site is. Rust Metrics collects data from the public Rust server list on Steam and from servers directly. It refreshes every five minutes. It is a snapshot tool, not a guarantee.
Readings can be degraded. A server may publish a late wipe time, a name that misleads, or a slot count that does not match the queue. A population figure can lag the server by a cycle. Check the reading yourself before you act on it: population, fps, uptime, entity count.
Your clearance to use the site. You can browse every page without an account and without paying. Keep request rates sane. Rapid automated requests slow the site for other players, and we may limit them.
Bulk data. If you need a full dataset rather than single pages, write to hello@rustmetrics.world with what you want and how you will use it.
Crawlers and AI tools. Search engines, bots and AI crawlers may index the site. Read robots.txt and llms.txt before you start, and keep the fetch rate low enough that human visitors still load pages quickly.
For server owners. A server appears because it is on Steam's public list. Its page shows what the server itself publishes: name, tags, wipe schedule, slots. To correct a reading, correct it at source. Most changes reach us within one refresh cycle.
Independence. Rust Metrics is not connected to Facepunch Studios. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios.
Amendments. These terms can be revised at any time. The date below records the last revision. Continued use after a revision means you accept the new terms.

Questions
3 items · open each to read1.Does Rust Metrics guarantee that server figures are correct?
No. Every figure is a snapshot taken from what a server publishes, refreshed every five minutes. A server can report a wipe late or a population count that lags, so check the reading on the server status page before you rely on it.
2.Can I use Rust Metrics data somewhere else?
You can browse and compare servers freely. For bulk data or an automated feed, email hello@rustmetrics.world with your purpose and expected request rate, and we will agree terms. Bots should read robots.txt and llms.txt first.
3.How does a server get listed or corrected?
Listing follows Steam's public Rust server list, so a server appears once it is published there. Its page copies what the server publishes, so edits happen at source and reach us within one refresh cycle.
